Okay, I admit: The hat is a little large, but golf had limited supplies to make it because she couldn't find an action-figure-size Al's Automotive Detroit Tigers cap. I think this is an adequate substitute for the time being.

Thursday, September 20

Okay, I'm ready. The next time golf and Larry go to the course, I'll be ready to go along with them. Wanna bet I get more pars and birdies than they do?

Wednesday, September 19

golf decided to take a day off today, since Larry was not scheduled to work and it was beautiful here in Georgia -- sunny, a little breeze, and about 80 degrees. Therefore -- to the golf course!!

Needless to say, I went along.

Come on, guys! I'm ready to go.

I'll drive.

Okay, maybe not. . . . I'll just hang around and watch how you two do.

You're doing really poorly, here, guys. How many did you put in the water there?

Finally, golf got a par! They were playing so badly, they were happy if they got pars -- not that there were that many of them . . . . And neither of them managed to eke out one lousy birdie. I'll cut 'em a LITTLE slack as they haven't played golf for a couple of months.

Back to the driving range . . . .

No! No! Don't back up!

Tuesday, September 11

TC now wears his hat with the DaNang logo, as he examines the spent shell -- as shown in a clip in the show intro. Video to follow when golf gets all the other props!

TC gets a baseball hat! Still need to put a logo on it -- either his usual DaNang wording or maybe make him a special Island Hoppers logo.

(But in these pictures, TC looks more like Eddie Murphy than Roger E. Moseley . . . . unfortunately, but this is the only AA GI Joe I have to be TC.)

But as he would look while in his MD500 IH heli, wearing the mike and headphones . . . .

Sunday evening, September 9

golfmobile has been diligently working on recreating the introductory clips to the show, but, forgive her, she is still missing some very important props to do all the shots -- specifically a helicopter to be TC's Island Hoppers heli. If she can just acquire the Ultimate Soldier AH-6 Loach, then she can repaint it to be Island Hoppers. But in the meantime, she has worked on at least the first several clips through the Higgins introductory shots. Yes, some ARE missing but some are just impossible to recreate in a single environment with limited geography, lack of moving characters, props, etc. So here is her first effort through Magnum clips and Higgins. TC and Rick have to wait for props and costumes . . . .

First Third of Introduction

Sunday, September 9

Another gorgeous day in paradise . . . . well, not quite. At least I'm with "paradise" 's tree -- a plumeria. golf and Larry brought back (legally) two "sticks" of a plumeria branch to grow so they could have a little piece of Hawaiian paradise with them at home. Both sticks have grown exceptionally well (you may recall they were the trees to which my hammock was tied). They go dormant in the winter when moved inside, but each spring they're back to grow and bloom. I'm not sure whether the horrible heat in Atlanta this summer helped. But they appear to be pretty darn healthy right now.

September 2, Rick with His Hero and at the KKC

Rick got dressed up today in his usual blue shirt with white collar and cuffs to pose with his hero, Humphrey Bogart. He also found a "Casablanca" set of playing cards (he must have been cruising eBay . . . .)

Then he went to the King Kamehameha Club to meet me for a few beers -- huh-oh, it's rather obvious we stayed there until dark, awaiting TC, who never showed up -- must have been busy with charter flights.

TC finally gets there!
